Having been busy with the NISEC Business Challenge and the organising of the 6-days SSCP Review Seminar, Edgis Sharing Session is back as a new academic year starts at Singapore Management University (SMU).
Generously hosted by the Whitehat Society, SMU, we welcome our first guest speaker of the year – Julian Ho, director of ThinkSECURE Pte Ltd (“ThinkSECURE”). With a suitcase of routers and biometric system, and couple of laptops on the speakers’ table, Julian’s presentation and practical demonstration on “End-to-End: How Attackers Really View & Target ICS/SCADA Management Backends” examines methodologies attacker uses to engage specific target organisations running ICS/SCADA systems and looks at how modern ICS/SCADA management backends are no different from regular IT-based systems.
It has been a great session for Edgis to mingle with security professionals as well as students, especially with pizzas and drinks graciously provided by Whitehat Society.
