Having gained a strong interest in information security since polytechnic, Josias graduated with a Diploma in Cyber and Digital Security. He was a committee member of White Hats, a student-led InfoSec interest group from Temasek Polytechnic. At present, he is pursuing his undergraduate studies in Computer Science at Nanyang Technological University.

Kippo 101
How many times have you heard about honeypots in security lectures and textbooks. But how much do you know about them? Have you seen them in action? This presentation will briefly walk you through the basics of honeypots, and finally show you the wonders of one of the largely deployed SSH low-interaction honeypots – Kippo.
Presenter: Emil Tan, Security+, RHCT
A team Lead at Edgis, Emil founded the security interest group to encourage open source collaborations between professionals and students. Emil graduated with a Diploma in Infocomm Security Management, during which he represented Singapore Polytechnic at SyScan Defend-the-Flag competition 2007 which his team was the joint-winner at the competition. As a honeypot enthusiast, he is a member of the Singapore Honeypot Project Chapter, and has guided a team of students at Singapore Polytechnic in their honeypot-related final year project in 2011. Emil is currently pursuing his BSc Computer Science at Royal Holloway, University of London.
